Ashley Kirk is principal of Smudge Design Communications, a Toronto design firm specializing in print and web design. Prior to starting Smudge Design Communications, Ashley went to school at York University to study fine arts and design. In his last year, he got his first paying design gig working on the layout for a campus newspaper. Since graduating from York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Ashley has worked for 2 award winning design studios: HM&E, and The Boomerang Group. During these 8 years, he honed his skills and gained a reputation
for delivering high quality work to a variety of clients.
While working at HM&E, Ashley's work on an annual report won the "Judges Choice" at the 2008 National Unisource Annual Report Show.
